This simple ceremony was a family affair with plenty of family to enjoy the union of the couple. Brides enjoy wedding venues in Utah in which they can choose their own cake designer and caterer. You find that at Atrium Weddings.
Tom Catrow was their caterer who served his own delicacies including puff pastries, sandwiches, fruit kabobs, and an assortment of cheese and crackers. A close friend created the flower arrangements and Granite Bakery created their cake. With a touch of beach style, the tiers of cake sat upon glass vases filled with sea shells. Seashells also dotted the table centerpieces.
Notice the groom’s cake. Obviously Rubics Cubes are big with this groom. He cut one perfect square out of it and shared with his new wife.
Ryan Cummings was the photographer at this Utah wedding. He is a local photographer who teaches at Salt Lake Community College. He enjoys photographing brides in Utah wedding reception centers like Atrium Weddings.

A casual western style wedding celebration took place in July at one of the wedding reception venues in Salt Lake City called Atrium Weddings at Western Gardens in Sandy. This happy couple had said their vows to each other about a week prior and had enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon. Planning their wedding celebration for family and friends was a joy and even more joyous to experience. I’m glad I got a glimpse into the personality of this beautiful couple and their families.
This was the first event I’ve personally attended that utilized the Atrium’s linen choices of burlap as a table topper. With Atrium’s simple candle vases adorned with an orange ribbon resting atop the burlap, this style immediately told the guests “Come on in and enjoy!”…and they did. A touch of teal organza sashes adorned every other chair and gave the room just a hint of elegance for the the occasion.
Some simple orange and blue flower arrangements housed in aspen wood vases with carved hearts dotted the Salt Lake City wedding reception center. No official florist was used. Cold Stone ice cream from Draper was their chosen refreshment. A big fresh cookie was also an optional treat. Guests mainly enjoyed mingling with each other and the couple as they roamed the room to visit with their loved ones. All enjoyed country music from the couples ipod.
Originally the couple had not planned to have a wedding cake, but the groom’s sister is venturing into a new business of cake baking, so they let her create one of her new masterpieces. One of the three layers was maple bacon flavor and was a hit with the crowd. Bindy at Cutting Edge Cakes is her new business. Contact information: bindy@CuttingEdgeCakesUtah.com
Prior to the reception, the family gathered at Atrium’s waterfall plaza for some fun family photos taken by Tom of Garzand Photography. Most the photos featured here show his wonderful work.
Atrium Weddings is definitely one of the most pleasant reception centers Salt Lake City offers Utah brides.
This bride looked at many wedding venues Salt Lake Cityoffers. She then chose Atrium Weddings for her outdoor ceremony and indoor reception dinner because of their flexibility, beautiful ambiance, and polite staff. She also discovered that for a real value, she upgraded her booking to use stylish dish-ware that cost a fraction more than if they had chosen other plastic or paper alternatives. After her outdoor ceremony and wedding-party photos at the waterfall, everyone came into Atrium’s indoor garden for a stunning sit-down meal. The tables were pre-set by the caterers. Misty chose this Salt Lake wedding venue’s stylish square dishes. Traditional round plates are also an option. The package includes several plates/dishes, goblet, several pieces of silverware, and a linen napkin. For $1.50 per person (price subject to change), this is an added touch of class to make any sparkling bride’s wedding reception sparkle even more.
