Real Events at Salt Lake City Wedding Venues – April 12, 2014

Salt Lake City Wedding Venues for real eventsA beautiful couple chose ivory, purple and mint green for their colors at their wedding celebration at Atrium Weddings at Western Gardens Sandy, one of the Salt Lake City wedding venues.  It was an all in the family occasion with delicious fruits, cheeses, and pastries catered by the bride’s brother David.  Their whimsical four tiered cake was masterfully created by a dear family friend and the flowers were provided by Harmons and placed by family members.  The evening was full of the traditional bouquet and garter toss, a lot of dancing, cutting of the cake, and culminated with the Atrium traditional magical sparkler send off.  Wedding reception centers in Salt Lake City like Atrium can be the perfect relaxed wedding venue for a family gathering that puts everyone at ease and doesn’t have to break the bank.  See many other photos of real events at our website’s photo gallery at http://www.atriumweddings.com/PhotoGallery/Photo-Gallery.aspx

Spring Flowers for a Summer Affair at One of the Wedding Venues Salt Lake City’s Western Gardens Operates

This couple loved Atrium Weddings - one of the wedding reception centers in Salt Lake CityThis beautiful bride and groom enjoyed one of Western Garden’s wedding venues Salt Lake City is home to – Atrium Weddings in Sandy.  The couple and their families used Atrium’s outdoor waterfall for professional photos.  The bright colorful spring flower bouquets chosen by the bride, were beautiful against the relaxing backdrop.  Family and friends laughed and enjoyed their time together taking memorable snapshots.

This bride had chosen to do extensive additional decorating with weathered full-size doors and windows to display photos and decorations of the couples new adventure together.  Again, their incredibly colorful floral arrangements were striking with all the greenery of Atrium’s walls.  One large masterpiece hung over the arbor where the couple stood to greet their guests.

April 13, 2012 – Salt Lake City Wedding Venues Can Help Save the Day

Wedding reception centers in Salt Lake City can help alleviate or make worse any catastrophe that may happen on that most special day.  This beautiful couple experienced disasters that no one wishes upon anyone, especially on their wedding day.  Thankfully, Atrium Weddings event coordinator was there to calm the situations that she nor the couple had no control over.

First the cake provider, not recommended by Atrium, called and indicated they had dropped the wedding cake masterpiece. They would try to salvage what was possible and would be behind schedule.  When it finally came, only the middle and top layers were somewhat there.  Without the bride seeing the disaster that sat upon the beautiful silver cake pedestal, the Atrium host and family jumped into action.  One scurried away and bought two round white cakes from a local grocery store, another retrieved some ribbon from previous decorating of the Utah wedding location, and others kept the bride occupied in the bride’s room while some doctoring took place.  By the time the bride emerged, she had a 3-tiered cake again.  Only the original top was used and ribbon was placed to hide the seams of the other two new layers.  It turned out fine and the bride was grateful for the teamwork of her family and Atrium staff.

If the cake nightmare wasn’t enough, the Reverend to perform the ceremony finally arrived an hour late.  That put everyone on edge, but again, Atrium’s event host was there to calm the waters and make do with a tense situation.  The caterers waited, guests waited, bride and groom waited; however, it did give some extra time to fix the wedding cake presentation.

Because the dinner was so delayed, the Atrium staff jumped into high-gear to set up for the reception after everyone had enjoyed their late meal.  It was all resolved and gratefully, Atriums’ professionalism was calming and helped make the evening another beautiful wedding celebration of love at Atrium Weddings.  These Salt Lake City wedding reception guests had no idea all that had taken place just hours before.

After it all, the bride was so grateful that she left this written note to Atrium Weddings. “You are all amazing!  You made my day smooth and stress free – Just what every Bride needs!”

We at Atrium are glad that we could be there to help alleviate and help solve these uncontrollable events.

Melanie and Daniel set up a traditional wedding line where guests greeted them and the wedding party.  Beautiful and delicate finger goodies were served and enjoyed by all.  Their guest count was well over 300 people.  Spacious room at weddings in Salt Lake City like Atrium Weddings

Atrium weddings is one of many wedding locations in Salt Lake CityHer 3-tiered wedding cake was artistically decorated with various sizes of brown ribbons and crowned with beautiful yellow, red, and orange flower bouquets.  Of course, the bride and groom successfully cut the cake and traditionally fed each other their first bite.   Traditions continued with the throwing of the bouquet and the flipping of the garter to anxious singles.  Then it was time for that first dance.  Melanie and Daniel danced as though they were the only ones in the garden.  Then they opened it up for dancing to all the guests.Ready to catch the boquet

Three W’s of Wedding Reception Center Planning – When? Where? and What?

Okay, you’ve decided that you want your wedding celebration at a reception center, rather than in your backyard or the church gymnasium.  The next step of planning your wedding reception can seem like an overwhelming task.  But if you break it down into simple, easy-to-tackle sections, the process becomes exciting and fun.  You’ll find yourself enjoying the journey culminating in an incredible wedding celebration, your final destination.   Here is how I break the tasks down to size.  Don’t forget to use your choice of a central note-taking tool.  A pad of paper works well, or an electronic tool like a smart phone, or tablet of your choice.  Always have this with you as you make plans, it will save your mind and your time in the long run.

I like to break the first part of planning in to the three W’s – When, Where, and What.  They are pretty big and important parts of the planning, but you can figure them all in one sit-down brainstorming session with your fiancé.  Be prepared to possibly make some little changes along the way, but you’ve got to have a starting point.  The When? Where? and What? is the beginning.

First is to decide WHEN you are having your big day.  It is good to have a couple of date possibilities, but knowing this is crucial for the next decision of WHERE.  You don’t want to waste your time looking for that perfect wedding venue unless you have an idea of when your event is to take place. Imagine finally making a choice of where you want your most important event to happen, only to find out that it is already booked for the day you’ve finally decided upon.  Wedding places in Utah book up quickly, so don’t let this first step pass too quickly.  Get your preferences and start the search of your perfect venue that can replicate your dream wedding.

As mentioned above, the WHERE is now in play.  Google your search as specific as you can.  Some suggested keywords to search could be “wedding reception centers” or “wedding venues” and if you want a particular area, add that city.  For example “wedding reception centers Salt Lake City” or “wedding reception centers in Salt Lake City” will help you narrow your quest to more specific options in your area.  Browse those venues that catch your eye and make your list of top places you want to pursue.  Request more information by email, if only to simply test that company’s responsiveness.  A very good first question to ask would be to check on the availability of that venue for the couple of dates you’ve chosen. This could prove very important in the future if you choose to work with them.  Your search will narrow, it is time to go visit the venues you’ve listed as your top possibilities.  Now it’s time to consider the WHAT’s of your quest.

Third, WHAT are you going to do for your special celebration?  Serve a full course dinner?  Serve only finger foods?  Dance?   Play games?  Serve only your wedding cake?  These are the kind of questions only YOU and your lover can imagine for YOUR special day.

Deciding these three w’s is the first step, then it will be time to do the how’s, but not until these three are complete.  For now, go out and find your dream wedding reception center!  You’ll have plenty to do after you get these three W’s completed!   Reminder!  Don’t forget to keep your wedding writing tool handy!
