wedding venues salt lake cityWedding venues Salt Lake City entices brides to hire include the beautiful Atrium Weddings at Western Gardens Sandy.  Cherish and Derrick found Atrium to be their perfect Utah wedding venue for an indoor garden dinner reception with the option of an outdoor ceremony during August.  They chose to have their ceremony rehearsal early in the morning and then scheduled their ceremony for the late afternoon.  A unique entrance for the bride included a family little girl sitting in a red wagon being pulled by another family member little boy.  The wagon was decorated with the same lace used in the bride’s cake and venue decorations.  These two absolutely stole the show until the bride appeared in her stunning gown.

Cherish chose the colors of coral, ivory and navy blue which complemented Atrium’s standard centerpiece with the lemon leaf wreath.

About 120 guests followed up with fun dancing and some traditional bride and groom entertainment as they watched Cherish and Derrick cut the wedding cake and toss the bridal bouquet and garter.  Amanda, a dear family friend, created Cherish’s stunning 3 tiered cake.  The florist was Happiness is Daisey’s Floral and their Photographer was Hardman Photography.  Sky Events provided some alcohol service, while John Jarvis was their music DJ for the ceremony and for the dinner and dancing.  The wedding officiator was Tiffany Archibald who often does many weddings for outdoor wedding venues Salt Lake City offers.

Utah Wedding Venue’s TUESDAY TIP – Get Organized

As soon as possible, a wise bride will first focus on getting her wedding plans organized. Get your smartphone organized right off the bat as you plan for your wedding reception!  Before you are tempted to visit all the many utah wedding venues to find that perfect one, some brides find it very useful and less confusing to create a special email address dedicated to only your wedding communications.  As you search for wedding venues in Utah or cake designers or whatever vendor you are needing, they can communicate directly with that designated email address.  Create those folders and sections on your phone to hold all the vendor names, phone numbers, addresses, and details that you will be gathering for the next several months.  Remember to take photos of those cake designs or floral arrangements that you hope to be replicated for your own wedding celebration.

Some brides still find it useful to use the old style paper file or three-ring binder.  Have pockets to place photos and ideas that you come across.  Tear sheets from magazines you want vendors to see!  A picture is indeed worth a thousand words, especially when you can leave an actual photo with the vendor so they have a reference photo when they create your cake, or floral arrangement, or dress, etc.

Tuesday Tip from Wedding Reception Venues in Utah – Your Guest List

Wedding Reception Venues in Utah Tip about Your Guests

After you have set a date, the number of guests you anticipate inviting is your next quandary.  You must have a rough idea of your guest list so that as you research and visit the many wedding reception venues in Utah, you’ll make a wise choose that will accommodate your needs.  Depending on what type of event you are envisioning, will depend on how much room you’ll need.  If you want a simple sit down dinner with close family and friends, typically you should plan on about 25-30 square feet per person.  This allows you plenty of space for the dance floor, tables & chairs, cake display, set up for a band, etc.  As you visit the many Utah venues, be sure you inquire how many people they can accommodate for sit-down meals.

Sit-down meals are usually a small additional fee to an already booked event at a reception center.

If you are envisioning a flow-through reception, you can invite many more guests.  But still you’ll need to inquire about the capacity of the venue.  Consider parking for you and your guests and the flow of the room and space.  If your venue has a wise event planner, they will be able to make suggestions to you about how to stagger guests arrival as to avoid congestion in the line.

Every event is different and you can make yours uniquely your own. It’s your day so plan it the way you want!

Dish-ware Packages Can Be a Valued Luxury at Wedding Venues Salt Lake City Offers

Outdoor ceremony at a wedding venue in Salt Lake CityThis bride looked at many wedding venues Salt Lake City offers.  She then chose Atrium Weddings for her outdoor ceremony and indoor reception dinner because of their flexibility, beautiful ambiance, and polite staff.  She also discovered that for a real value, she upgraded her booking to use stylish dish-ware that cost a fraction more than if they had chosen other plastic or paper alternatives.  After her outdoor ceremony and wedding-party photos at the waterfall, everyone came into Atrium’s indoor garden for a stunning sit-down meal.  The tables were pre-set by the caterers.  Misty chose this Salt Lake wedding venue’s stylish square dishes.  Traditional round plates are also an option.  The package includes several plates/dishes, goblet, several pieces of silverware, and a linen napkin.  For $1.50 per person (price subject to change), this is an added touch of class to make any sparkling bride’s wedding reception sparkle even more.

An “Enchanted” Celebration at Atrium Weddings, One of the Wedding Venues Salt Lake City and Sandy Enjoys!

Enchanted couple dancing at Salt Lake Wedding venues. One of the most “enchanted” wedding venues Salt Lake City includes is Atrium Weddings at Western Gardens in Sandy.  This princess bride, whom I will adoringly call Giselle and her new husband Prince Edwards , celebrated their magical day with many of their favorite things.  They served the guests of the kingdom fresh fruit and cookies to cover with chocolate from a 4-tiered chocolate fountain.  A fountain sentry stood guard to ensure the guests that no little fingers or double dipping took place.  Homemade chocolate eclairs were also on the menu with other finger pastries.

Guests enjoyed the couple’s favorite songs over Atrium’s sound system using a playlist from the bride’s ipad. After the cutting of the cake and the first dance with Prince Edwards, Giselle and a bride’s maid began a dance routine to the “Enchanted” movie theme song “Ever After”.  Both twirled and laughed.  What a perfect moment capturing the joy of this bride marrying her Prince with true love’s kiss.  These two newlyweds have begun their happily-ever-after storybook marriage.

An Absolute Must For All Chocolate Fountains at All Wedding Venues Salt Lake City Hosts

Chocolate fountain at Salt Lake City wedding venue

The first event I’ve attended where I was tempted to taste from the fountain of chocolate, and I love chocolate, was this wedding celebration at Atrium Weddings, one of many wedding venues Salt Lake City accommodates!    You ask why?  Because the fountain was being guarded by a woman who kept the little children from sticking their fingers in it or double-dipping.

Child mess at the chocolate fountain, but the guard made sure he didn't double-dip!At any event that offers a chocolate fountain, I always linger away and buy a chocolate bar on my way home after the party; but when I noticed the “guard”, my mind was put at ease and I felt comfortable to give it a try.  I let the chocolate cascade over a strawberry and then over a cookie. I sat at a table and took my first Chocolate Fountain taste.  Yum!  It was truly so delicious that I was tempted to return to the fountain and like a kid, stick my finger in or even extend my tongue, but then I came to my senses.

From now on, I think I’ll be that guard at a chocolate fountain and enjoy the chocolate while I stand my ground!

Yum! I'll be the guard from now on! Worth keeping it safe!

Utah Wedding Venues can Make a Bride Shine!

Smiles in the garden center backdrop!

In May, a lovely bride and her groom celebrated their marriage at Atrium Weddings, one of Western Garden’s wedding venues Salt Lake City based.  Pink and white were the chosen colors and this bride and mother added a dainty touch to the Atrium’s garden atmosphere.  Trinkets, ribbons, lace, simple tulips in vases and rose petals scattered about created such a beautiful style that complimented this beautiful bride.  Sweet pendants with the couple’s name adorned the fireplace and another strand of pendants thanked the guests as they departed this Salt Lake wedding venue.

Happy couple at outdoor ceremony at Salt Lake City weddingOne of the many wedding venues Salt Lake City provides includes the stunning and relaxing Atrium Weddings at Western Gardens in Sandy, Utah.  It was a privilege for me to witness this event in June.  I enjoyed the love and tenderness this couple shares with each other and their families.  The couple chose to have their ceremony performed outside in the patio waterfall area of the venue.  The gentle breeze helped to keep it cool for guests.  The bride’s family arranged for a long cloth runner for the bride to walk upon.  At the beginning was the couple’s name and the date of their special day.

There was nothing too out of the ordinary in the procession until the flower girl, the groom’s daughter, appeared tossing her rose petals and directly behind her was another young man walking.  He was adorable all dressed in his tux vest, boutonnière, and shiny black shoes and he was carrying a sign “Last Chance to Run!”  A wave of chuckles covered the audience.  He smiled the entire way.  It was picture perfect!

Then the audience arose and the stunning blond bride appeared with that twinkle in her eye.  She was escorted by her father who apparently is dealing with some serious health issues, thus creating a sweet tender moment for father and daughter.  Salt Lake wedding venues like Atrium Weddings count it a blessing to be part of such sweet experiences.

Harpist playing at Salt Lake City wedding venues

I failed to give credit to another young family member who shared her talent of playing the harp for prelude music. With the waterfall cascading behind her, and a picturesque view Twin Peaks, her beautiful notes created such a lovely ambiance, perfect for this bride and groom.

The ceremony was short and sweet and everyone in attendance could see the love this couple has for each other.

Newlyweds photo shoot at wedding Salt Lake City

After the vows and congratulating the newlyweds was over, their professional photographer Ashlee of Ashes to Ashes Photography took some wonderful photos that captured the fun personality of this newly formed family.

The dinner and reception were held inside the Atrium’s indoor garden room.  Beautiful flower arrangements adorned the hall that were created by Celestial Floral and the elegant cake was created by a longstanding local favorite Granite Bakery.

I must also mention that at the sign-in table, a special memorial with photo was set there to remember a loved one that had departed.
